Navy Closure Task Force-Red Hill to host community town hall, open house

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii – Navy Closure Task Force-Red Hill (NCTF-RH) invites the community to an open house and town hall Sept. 17, focused on the decommissioning of the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam drinking water safety.
The open house will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a town hall from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the American Veterans Hawaii (AMVETS) West Oahu Veterans Center at 5001 Iroquois Ave, Ewa Beach, Hawaii 96706.
The open house will offer attendees the opportunity to ask subject matter experts about future operations related to closing the facility and other topics.
Leadership and representatives from multiple agencies will attend the town hall to interact with the community. Participants will include representatives from NCTF-RH, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the University of Hawaii Red Hill Registry.
