Charlotte County Fire & EMS Invites Community to Fire Station Open Houses
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 2, 2026) – Charlotte County Fire & EMS invites residents to visit three local fire stations during a series of community open houses this fall.
Each station will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Visitors can tour the station, view fire and emergency medical apparatus and meet the firefighters, EMTs and paramedics who serve their community.
The open houses are scheduled for:
- Saturday, Sept. 26: Station 12, 2001 Luther Road, Punta Gorda (Deep Creek)
- Saturday, Oct. 10: Station 4, 13600 Marathon Blvd., Gulf Cove
- Saturday, Oct. 24: Station 9, 17785 Curry Preserve Drive, Punta Gorda (Babcock Ranch)
Additional apparatus may also be displayed during the events, giving visitors an opportunity to learn more about the department’s equipment, specialized resources and emergency response capabilities.
“These open houses give our residents a chance to see where our crews work, learn more about the services we provide and connect with the first responders who serve their neighborhoods,” said Charlotte County Public Safety Director and Fire Chief Matthew McElroy. “Strong relationships with our community are essential, and we look forward to welcoming residents into our stations.”
The events are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
